All Bloomfields horseboxes include as standard a metallic spray paint and colour of your choice, finished in our spray bake oven for lasting results.
For something special, our in house graphic design team can prepare you a digitally enhanced image of your chosen paint design. Then our own spray technicians will make your dream a reality. At Bloomfield’s we are renowned for our unrivalled spray designs and finishing touches.
The Market’s first full passenger safety cell
Safety is standard – Because to us, you and your horses matter. Our safety cell uses over 15 meters of 50mm aluminium box section, with 4 meters of weld. This is believed to be the safest bulkhead in Europe! It is skilfully integrated into the structure of the body and cabin, giving optimum strength that reduces the risk of injury to you and your horses in the unfortunate event of an accident.

For instance our in house fibre glass technicians have created luxury smooth, edge free, reinforced tack lockers, wheel arch covers, and fully moulded sliding partition – a UK 3.5 tonne horsebox first. Giving outstanding strength, safety, and style.
VCA European Type Approval 2007/46/EC
The highest level of certification for our horseboxes. Bloomfields Horseboxes are proud to announce that we have achieved the highest level of certification for our horseboxes. We can now sell and register our horseboxes throughout Europe without the need for any further testing. Meaning that they comply to every European Legislation necessary.
Where as any VCA type approval only applies to Brand new vehicles, Bloomfields uses the exact same build processes on ANY vehicle we build, this includes pre –owned chassis. Giving customers peace of mind that Bloomfields are building all of our horseboxes to the highest of standards.
VCA C.O.P. Audited and Approved
Inspected and approved by the FTA to DEFRA standards. Bloomfields have been audited and approved by the VCA for C.O.P. (conformity of production). Peace of mind that our horseboxes are manufactured to the highest standards. Bloomfields Horseboxes are individually inspected and certified by the FTA (freight transport association) to DEFRA standards, with a certificate and Plaque for each vehicle. You can be sure that your horsebox is as comfortable as possible while travelling on long journeys.
Exceeding ourselves for VCA Type Approval!
Our bulkhead has been tested to over 4 times the legal requirement. The test station were forced to STOP testing at this point as they were to the maximum capabilities of their test equipment. Proving again that Bloomfields are the market leaders in 3.5t horsebox design.

We actively encourage factory visits, believing that knowing the quality of a horsebox without seeing it in its rawest stage is almost impossible. All aspects of the bespoke builds are executed in house and our 4 bays are open to inspection from any potential purchaser.
Our team
Over the years Bloomfields has grown to a team of up to 36 trained and dedicated employees. Your first port of call will be with Helen, Sheryl or Alison in the office who will talk you through the build processes and specifications of the horseboxes and give you a factory tour where you can see the quality of our builds for yourselves.
Director Dean Moody over sees all aspects of the builds and paint along side the Production manager Neil and Quality Assurance manager Peter. All of the vehicles undergo a strict 160 point quality control throughout the build stages.
Distributors
Bloomfields Horseboxes have become a world wide recognised name. Not only do we have distributors throughout the UK and Europe we also build horseboxes for as far away as Japan and Australia. Our in house homologation department keep us up to date with all relevant legislations, meaning the horseboxes meet the requirements for each country at all times.
Our UK distributors are available all year round to show you their demo boxes and can even bring a demonstrator to your home to view in comfort.
Stock
Although Bloomfields generally only build to order, we do occasionally have demonstrator vehicles for sale.
These may be advertised here, or can be reserved for the end of the show season.
